Mom We Admire: Cindy Crawford
2025 / 5 mins
This Mother’s Day, we caught up with our new Vuori Partners Cindy Crawford and her son Presley as they reflect on their relationship, dream family vacations, and more.

Cindy: “Presley, what is one of your favorite childhood memories?”
Presley: “Oh, probably going to the lake with the family.”
Cindy: “What did you love about it?”
Presley: “It was my first taste of freedom, you know? Getting a boating license at such a young age and being able to roam around. We didn’t really get that, I feel like, back home.”
Cindy: “It was like family camp almost, didn’t you feel like?"
Presley: “Yeah it was the closest thing to camp.”
Cindy: “Yeah it was like camp but we got to have you with us so we were happy about that. Now what was it like having me as your Mom? Only the good stuff, only the good stuff. You can be honest.”
Presley: “It was cool because I feel like I experienced a different range of Moms. Like I had work Mom, and then I had model Mom, and then I had like at-home-cooking-us-dinner Mom."
Cindy: “And what was your favorite?”
Presley: “I think it depended on the time. When I was younger, I liked home Mom, but as I got older and was able to appreciate work and all that comes with that, it was inspirational to see that side.”
Cindy: “Okay what about family trips. We've gone on safari, we've done a lot of beach vacations, but is there one family trip that we haven't taken that you would like to do? So basically, how do I get you to go on vacation with me at this stage?”
Presley: “Oh man, I feel like we've seen a lot of really cool places. I would love to go on a surf trip though, which I feel like wouldn't just be about me. I feel like you and Kai could enjoy the beach, I could go surf, Dad could find a cold plunge somewhere and do that.”
Cindy: “Stand up paddle.”
Presley: “Yeah, stand up paddle.”
Cindy: “Okay, perfect. We’ll go. Now what’s one lesson you’ve learned from me, that you still carry with you today?”
Presley: “I’m looking for the right word, but a sense of contentment in chaotic situations.”
Cindy: “Oh, wow, I’m surprised you see me that way.”
Presley: “Yeah definitely. In hard times, or things that would typically wear you down. I guess contentment's not necessarily the right word, but like, being persistent through challenging times.”
Cindy: “Yeah, I like that. It’ll get you far in life.”
Presley: “I believe so. Now my turn. What ways do you think we’re the most similar?”
Cindy: "I've always felt like we look alike-maybe even more than Kaia and I do. When we're together, you can really see it. I think we're both pretty sensitive, and when things get tough, we just kind of put our heads down and work through it."
Presley: “Describe what it’s like having me as a son in three words.”
Cindy: “I could never in a million years describe you in three words. It's interesting, because to me, I could describe you in three words and more. But also having you as a son would probably take more words. You've been a little challenging at times”.
Presley: “That’s what I’m here for.”
Cindy: “It is true. You're my biggest teacher. But okay, I would describe you as sensitive. I would describe you as authentic. And I would describe you as brave.”
Presley: “Thank you.”
Cindy: “You’re welcome. I love you.”
Presley: “I love you too. You’re sweet. You’re sweet.”
